Strategic partnership and capacity building
Rural communities in Haiti face with complex issues and challenges that are impossible to address by one entity. For that reason, FONHDAD is always opened to join forces and collaborate with other stakeholders such as government, industry, other non-profits, national labs, and academia to solve critical problems related to rural development, and the economic growth of rural communities. External collaborations bring speed and know-how to the development of agricultural innovations and adapted technology. Yet, proposed technical improvements in the agriculture by the Foundation are the results of sound partnerships with research centers and national and international development institutions, such as USAID, CIMMYT, FAMV-UEH, UNIQ, UNEPH, FTF-W- Haiti / Chanje Lavi Plante, AREA/USAID, Center de Savane Zombi/MARNDR, CRDD de Duvier, Center de Levy/MARNDR, SNS/MARNDR.

Moreover, FONHDAD actively engages with the academic community at different level to provide increasing opportunity for students and researchers. In that sense, the Reseau National des Centres Ruraux de Recherche et Développement Durable (°RN-CRDD), a network of innovation hubs, acts as a key driver for advancing research, enhancing student engagement, and creating the workforce of the future.
